Every GMC Hummer EV for sale on our lot is proof that automobiles can shed their former skins and stereotypes and be reborn as something bigger and better. The gas-guzzling behemoth of decades past has made a grand return to the GMC lineup as an all-electric truck dedicated to rewriting its history.

Promising an incredible GMC-estimated range of up to 367 miles, the 2025 Hummer EV pickup is a powerhouse with the work ethic expected of the GMC brand. Moreover, it’s loaded with innovative technologies that promise and deliver a thrilling, engaging, and transformative experience wherever the road or your next adventure leads. Here’s a closer look at those technologies and what they offer.

#1 – Travel From Zero to 60 mph in Three Seconds: Watts to Freedom

There is zero question that the 2025 Hummer EV is built to perform at any speed. GMC gives drivers a choice of two electric powertrains, with a dual-motor or tri-motor configuration that accommodates various needs. The 20-module battery and dual motors deliver 570 hp and 7,400 lb-ft of instantaneous torque for exceptional performance. Upping the ante is the Hummer EV pickup’s tri-motor 24-module battery that produces 1,000 horses and 11,500 lb-ft of jaw-dropping torque that can take your breath away.

It’s not a question of whether anyone needs this level of capability but of how and when to safely harness it. GMC answers that with Watts to Freedom, a tool designed to maximize the Hummer EV’s capability. When stopped at the starting line, press the Hummer EV’s traction control button twice and confirm you want to activate Watts to Freedom via the Driver Information Center. Once activated, the truck’s suspension lowers as the settings for the cooling system, accelerator, and shock absorbers adjust behind the scenes.

As the truck prepares for launch, you’ll follow the prompts on the Driver Information Center to initiate the sequence. These prompts ensure your foot stays on the brake pedal as you press the accelerator to the floor. You’ll hear a change in how the motors sound as they prepare to launch the all-electric powerhouse from zero to 60 mph in a mere three seconds after you release the brake.

#2 – Tighten the Turning Circle: 4-Wheel Steer

One of the biggest setbacks of older Hummer models was its expansive footprint that, despite giving it a rugged and imposing stance, also made it hard to maneuver. GMC solves this impracticality without eliminating what makes the Hummer well, a Hummer. The 2025 Hummer EV pickup has a rugged and athletic stance, but it also features technologies like 4-Wheel Steer that guarantee its size doesn’t get in the way of where it travels.

4-Wheel Steer stays in Automatic Mode by default on the 2025 Hummer EV pickup. This default setting heightens the Hummer EV’s maneuverability without requiring you to do anything. For example, it monitors your inputs on the steering wheel at low speeds, turning the rear tires in the opposite direction of the front tires to tighten the truck’s turning radius and make it easier to maneuver. When traveling at higher speeds, 4-Wheel Steer does the opposite by turning the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels to heighten the truck’s stability and improve its handling.

#3 – Move Diagonally: CrabWalk

4-Wheel Steer is in Automatic Mode by default on the 2025 Hummer EV Truck, but that’s not the only setting available. You can turn the feature off or select CrabWalk for a new level of capability that instills confidence as you navigate more technical terrain. Unlike 4-Wheel Steer, CrabWalk doesn’t turn the rear tires in the opposite direction of the front tires. Instead, the feature turns the rear and front wheels in the same direction at speeds up to 25 mph. This movement can maneuver the Hummer EV diagonally out of a dicey situation where turning is impossible.

#4 – Pick Up and Leave: Extract Mode

What happens when you take a truck worth over $100,000 off the pavement only to face an obstacle that seems impossible to overcome? Rather than calling it quits, GMC encourages drivers to accept the challenge by outfitting the 2025 Hummer EV with tools like Extract Mode. The innovative technology uses the truck’s Adaptive Air Ride Suspension, dramatically improving ground clearance and giving you the confidence to explore the unknown.

Extract Mode raises the Hummer EV’s suspension by nearly six inches, improving ground clearance based on the situation. The system’s flexibility is unmatched, with Standard Mode offering 26 inches of water fording capability. Terrain Mode increases that level to 28 inches, with Extract Mode offering 32 inches of water fording capability. In Extract Mode, the Hummer EV’s off-road specs dramatically improve, taking the truck’s ground clearance from 11.9 inches in Terrain Mode to 15.9 inches and improving its approach, departure, and breakover angles.

#5 – Class-Exclusive Views: UltraVision

The 2025 Hummer EV pickup offers several class-exclusive features, including one of the best and most extensive camera systems in the segment. The UltraVision camera provides up to 18 views that heighten visibility and improve your situational awareness in any condition. While these views are certainly helpful when taking advantage of the Hummer EV’s impressive towing capacity, GMC doesn’t limit the UltraVision to on-road performance. Instead, the system includes waterproof, class-exclusive underbody front and rear-facing cameras that provide a real-time view of the terrain under the truck. This gives you greater confidence to explore technical terrain, knowing when to engage Extract Mode, CrabWalk, and 4-Wheel Steer.

#6 – Range-Saving Tools: One-Pedal Driving and Regen On Demand

The 2025 Hummer EV offers a GMC-estimated driving range of 367 miles, which is impressive for a truck this size. Recharging is straightforward at home or on the road, but GMC also ensures the Hummer EV has several range-saving features onboard. These features include One-Pedal Driving and Regen On Demand, which extend the truck’s range as you navigate the road or trail ahead.

One-Pedal Driving and Regen on Demand work behind the scenes to recapture wasted energy, optimizing the Hummer EV’s performance and range as you sit behind the wheel. With One-Pedal Driving activated, the system combines the function of the accelerator and brake pedals. In doing so, the system captures energy by using the electric motors to slow the vehicle, turning the wasted energy from the brake system into energy the battery can use to replenish its range. Regen on Demand is another way to achieve the same effect, allowing you to slow the truck via a paddle on the steering wheel.

#7 – Super Cruise: Hands-Free at Highway Speeds

GMC’s ingenuity shines with Super Cruise, the industry’s first true hands-free driver-assist tool and easily the most intuitive and adaptive. The 2025 Hummer EV pickup includes a three-year Super Cruise subscription, dramatically improving your experience behind the wheel. The technology works with OnStar, using map data, sensors, GPS, and real-time cameras to determine the Hummer EV’s location and position on the road. When traveling on a compatible roadway, the system handles steering, acceleration, and braking as long as your eyes stay focused on the road.

#8 – Trailering With Confidence: ProGrade Trailering System

The 2025 Hummer EV pickup is engineered to work hard, whether navigating your weekday commute or towing heavy loads. GMC capitalizes on the truck’s work ethic with the ProGrade Trailering System, which is accessible via the truck’s expansive center touchscreen or a mobile app on your smartphone. The in-vehicle trailering app lets you create custom trailer profiles, navigate pre-departure checklists, monitor trailer diagnostics, and set maintenance reminders. It also integrates other trailer-specific features, like Jack-Knife Alert, to optimize your control and safety in the driver’s seat.
